Following our Prayer Around the Cross, a large barbeque was held in and around our parish hall to celebrate the Feast Day of the Parish and Carmelite Order.  Amidst the meal and conversation was a great deal of celebration; particularly through song.  Our friends in the Carmelite Family visiting from Spain began the singing and dancing, only to be followed by the Timorese and Indonesian Carmelites and our French pilgrims.  Not to be outdone, parishioners followed suit; Australia was well represented in the singing of Waltzing Matilda, while some parishioners sang in their native Maltese.
